Kitty is a contemporary abstract painter, inspired by her local landscape, predominantly the sky.

The works evolve, often over several months. Her creative process is intuitive, building up, removing and reworking layers of the canvas. The end result is a subtle composition balancing tone texture and light

Kitty graduated with a degree in illustration in 2003. She was the winner of the ‘PaperHouse future of design award for specialist illustration’ at the Business Design Centre Islington.

Kitty subsequently spent her early career working as a freelance illustrator, designing for various greetings card companies and publishers.

After a short break from creativity, to devote her time to her young family, Kitty re-visited what she describes as her “true passion”… painting!

Kitty now lives and works as a full time artist from her garden studio near Brighton Sussex.
